Get the egg home, then hatch it

Jump for Animals
eggs & hatching

Take a reachable egg, bring it back to your plot, place it, then open it when ready. The return, placement and hatch are three separate checkpoints.

How to get and hatch an egg

What changes on a successful run
StageYour actionCheck before moving on
Before pickupTest the climb without an egg. Check the current egg-reset notice before a long trip. You can reach the ledge and know the way back.
Take the eggComplete the egg’s displayed interaction, then start the return. Do not use a universal keyboard shortcut from an unrelated guide. The egg is being carried, not merely selected.
ReturnGo back to your plot; guardians make the return part of the task. You have reached your own plot with the egg.
PlaceHold the egg and click your plot, as the recorded tutorial instructs. The egg is placed and its hatch state/timer is visible.
HatchTrain while waiting, then open the ready egg. Read that egg’s timer rather than assuming every egg takes the same time. The animal’s name or discovery is shown.
Collect the discoveryOpen the Index and claim an available reward. You can identify the animal you got. Follow the Index steps.

Tutorial 00:21–00:32Pony run 01:03–01:21 · Sep 4 reset warning, 02:55.

Two failures that look like a jump problem:

A reset can interrupt a long trip, and a carried egg still needs plot placement. If your egg is already placed, use its hatch timer—not another route attempt—to finish that egg.

Documented egg names and context

These are creator-narrated labels from 2 Sep, rechecked 5 Sep. Not a full egg catalog or a hatch probability table. “Egg named” is not automatically “animal hatched”.
